Teacher gifts

We are nearing the end of term and my DS is moving into a new class in September and his current teacher is going to be leaving the school for pastures new, so I really ought to arrange a thank you gift. Now not only am I a bit rubbish at gift ideas but I also believe that the gift shouldn't cost the earth and should preferably be handmade (ideally including DS in the making process!). We've previously made pommanders and edible gifts so I need to think of something a bit different. Browsing the wonderful web (I don't know how I coped before it!)
