We had our first 'proper' school holiday day today (as I was working yesterday) and despite the continous rain, we had a great day.
Our mission today was Paper Mache Rockets (excuse the pun!). Both DS (6) and DD (2 1/2) had a great time making them and took great delight in getting stuck into the paper mache goo!
Here's how we did it, just in case you fancy a go too....
Take a large plastic bottle and 2 smaller bottles (for thrusters).
Use masking tape to attach the thrusters onto the main rocket...
Make up your paper mache goo - we used 1 part flour to 2 parts water, (and I added some salt so it doesn't go mouldy) and just mixed it all together.
Then get dipping! we used torn up newspaper in the paper mache goo, squeezed off the excess and stuck it on to the bottles and voila.........

I hope that you have had a good summer with your kids and will have time to get back to blogging when they are back at school!
