This year started well, (I'm growing 3 varieties - cherry, beef and matina) and I planted the seeds in early March as instructed. They grew well and when the weather was warm enough I moved them outside (plus another batch in the greenhouse) where they seemed to thrive. BUT it seems that I am the only one who is not currently tucking into juicy red tomatoes, mine (the ones that are visible) are distinctly green and have been for quite a while.

Green tomatoes anyone?
I'm beginning to think that I am jinxed when it comes to growing tomatoes. Last year I planted 2 packets of seeds (albeit quit late in the season) and at the end of August all I had was an abundance of green tomatoes (and lots of chutney).

Am I doomed never to grow a red tomato?!? All tips greatfully received as I am still eating the green tomato chutney from last year!

some varieties fruit earlier than others. I grow 'sweet olive' as they are tasty and early. sungold is earlier too. I hav only jsut got one red one from my beefsteak variety and a couple from gardeners delight so far. so maybe vary the varieties more?
I've just double-checked and mine are a beefsteak variety and gardeners delight both of which are hardly showing any tomatoes. It's the matina ones that are the largest but still green. I'm beginning to think I am not feeding them enough as they are all in large pots - and I thought growing tomatoes was meant to be easy!
