Bargains for the summer

I was out for a rare shopping expedition this morning and just popped into Laura Ashley (it would be rude not to!) for some window shipping, when I came across some amazing wall paper....

BARGAIN 1 ......
I've decided I need to get a bit crafty, as we desperately need a picture (or I'm thinking 3 pictures next to each other) in our bedroom, so I thought I would get a sample (or 3) of nice wall paper so I could choose which would be suitable to make into a picture(s). It turns out that the lovely lady who cut the swatches gave me so much that I can actually make the 3 pictures out of the samples she gave me....what a bargain (although I do feel ever so slightly guilty!). So the challenge is now on the make them, and I'll post pictures when they are ready.

BARGAIN 2......
I did actually buy something for the first time in Laura Ashley. When inspecting the wall papers I found a box on the floor full of different rolls of paper (the discontinued/end of lines) and managed to purchase a 10m roll for £1.50! No, I'm not mad (honest!), that roll is the cheapest kids play paper I have come across. We are going to be doing a lot of drawing round ourselves and painting the results to make full size portraits - DS and DD can't wait!
