Recycling Milk Cartons

I've found that the thing about growing your own veg is you tend to end up with loads seedlings and plants that need labeling. I started off by buying a pack of 'proper' white plastic labels but these were soon used up and when I totted up how many I needed I found that it would end up being quite pricey.

Now my idea of having an allotment/growing your own is not only to know that the veg you eat isn't covered in pesticides but also to save some money, and buying labels does not add up to being frugal....hence the milk cartons!

We tend to get through a load of milk and previously all the cartons ended up in the recycle bin, not any more, now the top halves end up as plant tags and the bottom haves turn into plant holders......
